Learn how to make a custom audience on Facebook from your email list

Custom Audiences was created by Facebook for businesses to capitalize on existing connections and relationships in their Facebook advertising strategy. If you are new to custom audiences, an easy way to begin incorporating this feature is by using existing customer data. Businesses who collect emails for campaigns on MailChimp or Constant Contact can use their emails lists to reach these same exact people as users on Facebook. You can expect on average 60-70% of emails to have a Facebook account.

In this video Matt walks you through how to upload your e-mail list of warm leads or current customers so you can begin serving ads directly to these users on Facebook.Follow Matt's steps in this video to build your custom audience using an Excel export of your e-mail list. You may want to first segment your email list and create multiple custom audiences. For example if you have e-mails of leads AND e-mails of customersl; it would make sense to keep these separate and to serve each segment with different ad content. When creating your ad, keep your audience in mind so you will continue building the relationship.
