Promote your Business while giving to the Miracle Month of May campaign

In February my 7 month old daughter, Elizabeth, broke her leg during a fall while I was at work. Everyone who has met her knows what a happy, sweet angel she is, even through this unfortunate accident. My husband, Aaron, and I are incredibly grateful for the excellent care she received at Rady Children's Hospital , especially after she was sent home without any diagnosis, x-rays, or treatment by the first emergency room we had visited.

Earlier this month I was approached by Daren, a membership salesperson for Vista Costco, who told us about a fundraiser they are participating in to raise money for Rady Children's. For $565 you can have a banner printed with your business' logo and a line of text that recognizes your $500 donation. The banner will be on display for thousands of Costco shoppers to see throughout the month of May. The $500 donation is tax-deductible and a portion of your donation is matched by Costco.

After my recent experience with my daughter, I decided this is a cause I 100% support. I encourage other local business owners take advantage of this opportunity to help children in San Diego while promoting their brand to a local audience. Below is a video from 2017 explaining the fundraising campaign.

A good contact if you'd like to participate at the Vista Costco location is Erber who can be reached at (760) 631-7255.

This week, while helping a Vista nail salon improve their SEO, something unusual caught our attention. In the Google Map Pack, under a listing of local nail salons, a new option appeared: “Have AI check prices.” Naturally, we clicked it.

ChatGPT has transformed how we search for information , from writing help to answering complex questions. It’s fast, conversational, and remarkably capable at understanding what we mean even when we’re vague. But when it comes to finding local businesses or services , ChatGPT isn’t ready to replace Google Maps, Yelp, or other local search tools just yet. Here’s why ChatGPT is powerful but not perfect when it comes to local business discovery.
